Many business owners advertise through social media outlets. The biggest and easiest platform to use is Facebook. I'm sure every business owner has combed through the do's and don'ts of what is appropriate to advertise. However...
Have you ever experienced one of your ads getting disapproved?
OR
Your account was shut down with out an explanation?
You followed all the rules, so what is really going on?
I'm going to give you a little insight to why your ad might be getting disapproved or your account might be getting shut down.
Did you know that one of the best things about Facebook behind the scenes is that the company is always looking for fraud! The only way for Facebook to effectively comb through hundreds of thousands of posts every day is by using an algorithm giant!
However, every so often, Facebook changes its algorithm.
Why is this important to you?
The unfortunate thing about an algorithm change by a computer is that your Ad might get caught up in the change by accident and get red flagged for no reason.
This can be extremely frustrating especially when it happens over and over again!
Here is the inside scoop and tip I'm going to teach you!
First thing you need to know is what are red flags and how do you get them off your ad?
A red flag is put on a post if the algorithm thinks the post violated a rule or is a fraudulent. If you know your ad met all the requirements for posting, then you need to dispute the ad.
Here are 3 places you can go to write your dispute:
Go to Ad Level > Dispute.
Under Business Manager Settings > Support > Chat function or Email FB > Dispute
Download Facebook Ad App > Find the disapproved ad > Dispute
Here are 2 examples of what to write to dispute the ad:
This is a false positive error. Can we please have a human review the ad.
We have gone through the blueprint training. We have read the term of use and believe this is a false positive error. We do not see where we are in violation. Can we please have a human review the ad.
Your ad may have been red flagged multiple times depending on how many places you were trying to post your ad. This means you need to do multiple disputes, with multiple humans, for an actual human to reactivate your ad to post.
The more customer service reps take off the red flags or vote your ad is not a fraud, the more likely your post will become active again!
One Last Tip
Double check the images you are using, especially if they are a stock image that might have been used with other affiliates. If there is an affiliate that used the same image you are trying to use and their ad was red flagged, chances are yours will be too.
If you are including a link in your ad with a landing page, check the images on the landing page as well. This will also put a red flag on your post.
